Is It Legal to Have a Pet Parrot?

G’win Armani is a Registered Vet Tech (RVT) who has worked with dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, rats, bearded dragons, leopard geckos, Russian tortoises, box turtles, aquatic turtles, and smaller birds including parakeets, cockatiels, sun conures, and green-cheeked conures and many others.


  • Working professionally with pets for 15+ years as a dental, surgical, and nutrition technician

  • in 2010 became a Registered Veterinary Technician


In the last 10 years, G’win has worked in several multi-doctor veterinary hospitals. As both a surgical assistant and a dental technician, he has used her expertise and skills in anesthesia and dentistry in both settings. As well, he has been a nutritional coach, helping owners to better understand their pet’s nutritional needs and determining what to look for in a commercial, wellness diet.

He currently practices full-time at a five-doctor practice located just outside of Cleveland, Ohio, that sees birds, dogs, cats, and small exotics.


In 2008, G’win earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio. As soon as he completed her degree, he enrolled in the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to pursue his dream. His license as an RVT was awarded when he passed the Veterinary Technician National Examination in January 2010. As part of his continuing education each year, he learns up-to-date and cutting edge advancements and techniques, such as laser therapy, integrative medicine, nutrition, feline medicine, and small exotic medicine, in order to better serve his patients.
